Let's Learn Basic Japanese - Yan to Nihon no Hitobito là giáo trình do The Japan Foundation sản xuất gồm 2 phần : Phần 1 được sản xuất trong khoảng 1985-1986 và phần 2 được sản xuất sau đó khoảng 10 năm tức là 1995 với 26 bài học mỗi phần , nội dung kể về cuộc sống của một người nước ngoài là Yan san (do Nick Muhrin đóng) ở Nhật Bản. Qua những đoạn hội thoại tình huống sẽ giúp cho những bạn mới học dễ dàng tiếp cận hơn với Nhật ngữ. Tuy nhiên thành thật mà nói series film này vì được sản xuất khá lâu rồi và lại dùng Romaji để giảng dạy nên không còn hợp thời nữa, nói vậy chứ nó vẫn là 1 công cụ giúp bạn khá nhiều trong các tình huống giao tiếp đấy.
